  • Puffins on a rock on Great Island near Mobile NF
  • Each bird has an equal amount of space. With one penthouse.
  • When the humpbacks tail comes out of the water that indicates he is diving and probably won't be back up for up to 12 minutes.
  • I encountered numerous Humpbacks mostly near Witless Bay on the southshore of Avalon Pennensula NF
  • This is a quiet cove on a spit of land that reaches out into Notre Damm Bay in NE NF The old building is a rotting Salt Box house where in days of Cod they were split, salted and dried on wood racks. The red building on the right is Melvin Horwood's Mini Musem where he has exhibits about icebergs and the days of Cod.

  • Food is certainly unuique in NF I also sampled, Cod Tounges, Cod Cheeks, Cod Filets, Cod Casseroule, Scallops, Mussels, Clams, Haddock, Snow Crab, Lobster, Shrimp, Capplien, Smelt, Char and Herring. They also offer lots of salmon, but its all farmed and I don't eat farmed salmon.

  • Newman Sound Terra Nova NP NF
  • The puffins nest in borrows in the soil, they build two nest to confuse predators. They fly ack from the ocean to feed their chicks.
  • Trinity is a quiet picturesque sea port that was a major sailing center in the Days of Cod.
  • This house is picturesque but it is very exposed to winter winds and seas.
  • Cow moose in Salmonei Nature Park. Everyone warned me to look out for moose while driving, I looked at a lot of moose habitat but the only one I saw was in this nature park.
  • A snow owl being rehabilitated
